AIBA is an intelligent, personal AI assistant designed to be your digital companion. It helps you organize your thoughts, get information, and communicate more effectively through both text and voice. Unlike generic chatbots, AIBA can securely remember your personal context (like contacts and notes) to provide more relevant and helpful responses.

Accounts & Usage
Yes, AIBA offers a free tier. Non-registered "Guest" users can send up to 5 messages per day. This limit resets at midnight. For unlimited messages and to save your conversation history and personal data, you need to create a free account.
Creating a free account unlocks the full potential of AIBA, giving you:

Features
The Voice Chat page uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API to convert your speech to text in real-time. This text is then sent to the AIBA backend. AIBA's text response is then converted back to speech using your browser's text-to-speech engine. You must grant microphone permission for it to work.
Conversation Memory allows AIBA to remember the context of your recent messages within a single session. For registered users, this history is saved to your account, allowing AIBA to have more coherent and intelligent conversations over time. You can clear this memory at any time in your account settings.
Privacy & Technical
Yes. We take several steps to secure your data:
- Encryption: All communication with our server is encrypted via HTTPS. Sensitive data in our database is encrypted at rest.
- Password Hashing: We never store your password in plain text. It is securely hashed using the bcrypt algorithm.
- Data Control: You own your data and can manage or delete it from your account settings.
**No.** The microphone is only active on the Voice Chat page (`chat.html`) and only **after** you explicitly click the "start" button. Your browser will ask for your permission first. The microphone is completely inactive on the text chat page (`index.html`) and all other pages.
There are a few common reasons:
- Microphone Permission: You must click "Allow" when your browser asks for permission to use the microphone. If you accidentally clicked "Block," you will need to reset the permission in your browser's site settings.
- Browser Support: The Web Speech API works best in modern browsers like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. Firefox has limited or no support for this feature.
- System Settings: Ensure your microphone is correctly configured and not muted in your computer's operating system settings.
